Here is my first large on site commission, sugar Maple. The original design had an Indian with a bear skin headdress. Most of the tree was rock hard, however once I started carving into the tree, I found out that it was very rotted down the middle and back side from top to bottom. So we had to compromise on the end result. The customer was adamant about continuing anyway and finishing the carving. So here it is just a little north west of Kitchener, Ontario,CA in Shingletown.
